Carthage Schools Closed - February 21, 2025

Posted Date: 2/20/25 (9:00 PM)

Important Update from Carthage School District
We had hoped to return to school tomorrow, but the roads and temperatures remain unsafe.

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education allows for six Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) days, and today (Thursday, 2/20) was our sixth and final AMI day for the school year. This means tomorrow (Friday, 2/21) will be a free daythere will be no AMI work, nor will this day need to be made up later. However, any additional missed days must be made up before the end of the school year. The placement of potential make-up days is yet to be determined.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this very wintery week. We will continue to communicate any further updates as needed.

We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday! It seems like winter is clocking out for a bit—we’ll be swapping snow boots for sneakers and crocs next week with temps expected to hit the 60s!  Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy your weekend!
